Creating Layouts and Landing Pages for Drupal 8

pixelite

Landing pages come in all shapes and sizes. We get a lot of site designs that are not built with Drupal (or any content management system) in mind and they usually involve a large number of diverse landing pages. Sometimes, the design assumes that each landing page will be lovingly hand-crafted and individually styled.

In reality, we know that it’s important to build landing pages that are consistent so that users can understand them. And we also want to build landing pages in such a way that they can be easily created by non-technical site editors.

In this session, we’ll look at some examples of landing page designs and discuss how we stream-lined the design and implemented them. Topics will include:

  • Guidelines for designing structured/logical landing pages
  • Creating a landing page component library
  • Balancing visual variety with structural consistency
  • Approaches to responsive landing pages
