First North American Project Management Track

This will be the first year that Project Management will have it’s own track at a DrupalCon in North America. Usually a part of the Business track, Project Managers now have a specific track that is being shaped and molded into two levels of sessions, one for the new project managers that are looking to catch up to speed with best practices and basic techniques and then an intermediate session level to discuss some of the more technical aspects of project management.

Not only is this an unprecedented opportunity for Project Managers of Drupal to meet and share information, but also this is an opportunity for Project Management experts to share their philosophies, ideas, and experiences by presenting sessions. We are currently accepting proposals for presentations until February 29th.

We’re open to all session proposals but particularly looking for presentations concerning:

  • Project estimation
  • Project planning techniques: Sprint planning, Development time allocation, Backlog management
  • Scope, risk, and change management strategies
  • Project management case studies
  • Project and portfolio reporting tactics: “how to” with specific tools, charts, reports. (PMs like spreadsheets)
  • Leadership and coordination approaches: working with remote teams, encouraging self-organization, encouraging cross-functionality.

We look forward to hosting you in New Orleans for DrupalCon as well as seeing all of your Project Management Session Proposals! Click here if you’re interested in submitting a session or a Keynote.
