Best practices and standards never go out of style

If you are like me, you've been developing websites for a long time and have 10 or more years of experience with HTML, CSS, and Accessibility. But also like me, you may see JavaScript Frameworks such as Gatsby, NextJS, and others, as difficult and unconventional tools to learn and work with. My entire career I have learned development best practices that all of the sudden seem outdated or nonpractical when working on a site that uses a modern JavaScript framework. As much as we would like to look the other way, these frameworks and others like them are here to stay. Either I learn them or be left behind.
As I struggle to keep up with what’s happening nowadays in web development, I have come to realize that the skills I have learned my whole life as a developer will always be relevant regardless of new technologies that emerge. With this in mind, I feel I can bring my old school skills and apply them to most modern frameworks. Join me to learn how your skills are not obsolete as you may think. No matter what technology is trending, there will always be a need for HTML, CSS, and Accessibility. Best practices and standards never go out of style.
