Creating variable fields to extend Group functionality

Group is a powerful out of the box solution for separating, building and protecting communities within large organizations. However some individual communities with these organizations can have specific needs such as the need for an additional field for a specific content type. This creates a problem as that new field would appear on that content type for all communities, not just the only one that requested it.

Recently I was approached by a client who had a request to solve this problem for data collected by communities for health care tracking. This presentation will go through the entire creation process of the custom module created to help make Group a little more flexible.
