Drupal for Humans
Social media companies and "surveillance capitalists" wield unprecedented power, not just to predict behavior, but to control it. They tend to make more money when they divide us and convince us that our lives our lacking. While some people feel overwhelmed and helpless, I believe that we as individuals already have tools to resist, including Drupal.
In this talk I offer ideas about how to use Drupal to deepen connections to other human beings and to yourself. Drupal can be the base of a kind and ethical online presence. I intentionally blur the usual distinction between "using Drupal" and "being human." I offer strategies for how to interact with the Drupal software and Drupal community in ways that can increase awareness, reduce stress, deepen connections, and improve overall well-being.
