Passwords - the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

cdchris12

We live in a land of a million logins. Everything has a password - even your grocery store account. In an ideal world, everyone would use a password manager and have a unique strong password generated for every single account they use across the web, with two-factor authentication using an app or hardware authenticator. In practicality, we are far from living in an ideal world; we’re living in the real world.

In this talk, we’ll cover a variety of issues around passwords:

What makes a good or bad password.
Multi-factor authentication: when and how to use it properly.
Password complexity requirements: How much is too much? What isn’t enough?
Why and how you should use a password manager.
Common password myths and real world horror stories.
