Privacy in a Post-Pandemic World: How Drupal Can Lead the Next Generation of the Open Web

Cellar Door

2020 was a year of dramatic change. It required us to change our lives and habits to save ourselves and those around us. It also forced the web to drastically change. Almost overnight companies were forced online, utilizing new tools and new technologies to stay connected. E-commerce saw as much growth in 3 months than the entire previous decade. This massive shift requires a new focus on privacy as users and regulators are becoming more and more concerned about privacy.

The next generation of the Open Web, in a post-pandemic world will be very different from the one that brought us here. With this ever changing landscape, and the call for more and more technologies to support user privacy, what is the Drupal project doing?

This session will focus on the latest strides in a core privacy initiative but also look at the broader role of Drupal in the open web, and our responsibility as a community to lead the next generation of the Open Web.
Come and join the conversation, and have a voice in the role Drupal takes in the privacy of the open web.
