Win a Ticket to DrupalCon Asia

When people talk about Mumbai, they often refer to “Bollywood.” But what is Bollywood? It’s a nickname for the most productive movie industry in the world: the Hindi-language film industry! Bollywood employs more people and produces more films than any other cinematic industry in the world, and Bollywood movies are well-loved both within India and beyond.

Bollywood is based in Mumbai, and is a big part of that city’s identity. That’s why we’re inviting the Drupal community to help us celebrate the unique city that DrupalCon Asia will be held in: show your excitement for the Con and your love for the city of Mumbai by participating in a Bollywood dubsmash extravaganza!

From January 15 - 29, use #DrupalBollywood on Twitter to share dubsmash videos of yourself quoting or singing along to a Bollywood (Hindi-language) film, and you could win a free DrupalCon ticket for yourself or a friend. Entries close on January 29, and our winners will be announced on Tuesday, February 2. There will be two contest winners: one selected by a team of DrupalCon marketing volunteers, and the other will be awarded based on who gets the most likes.

To participate, all you need to do is tweet your dubsmash videos with the hashtag #DrupalBollywood. Videos without the #DrupalBollywood tag will not qualify for entrance into the contest! To make your video, put dubsmash on your phone (available in most app stores), and make sure you select Hindi as one of the languages. We ask that you keep your entries family-friendly, and that you have as much fun as possible with your entries! Each film counts as a separate entry, with up to five entries maximum per person, so feel free to let your creativity shine.

How to enable Hindi sound bytes on dubsmash

Opening up Hindi options on dubsmash is simple. The first thing you'll need to do is install dubsmash on your phone. You'll find it in your app store.

From your dubs page, click the settings cog in the top right.

Click "Change Languages" on the "Settings" page

Under Languages, search for Hindi, and choose Hindi - India

Then close out of the Languages page. You're set.

That's all there is to it! Good luck, and we can't wait to see what you produce in celebration of DrupalCon Asia.
