Request a Visa Letter - Special Requirements
For Current or Past Passport Holders from Afghanistan, China, Denmark, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Pakistan and Sudan, and Stateless People
The Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay and the Drupal Association are happy to issue an official letter of invitation to registered DrupalCon attendees who must obtain a visa for travel to India. Please note this letter does not constitute any financial commitment on the part of the conference.
There are special visa requirements in place for stateless people, visitors from Afghanistan, China, Denmark, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Pakistan and Sudan, and people who held passports from these countries in the past. Be sure to check with your country's consulate to determine your specific visa requirements.
We urge everyone that requires a visa to travel to apply for the visa as early as possible. Specific questions regarding visas should be directed to your local embassy or immigration office.
When can I expect my letter of invitation?
Invitation letters are generated and sent out by email on Fridays. You will recieve a PDF copy via email and may request a physical copy of your letter to be mailed to you, if needed. Physical letters are mailed through the United States Postal Service which can take 2-4 weeks for delivery. You may pay to have your letter expedited via UPS or FedEx (approx. $60-$100, depending on location.)
The final day to request a visa invitation letter is 15 December 2015.
