Delivering the Mail
Over the last 5 years, Capgemini and Royal Mail Group - the UK’s designated Universal Postal Service Provider - have been working together to deliver an eBusiness platform for business and consumer online service.
A high scale, high complexity platform, delivering nearly 100 business and consumer applications and combining numerous cloud, on-premise and legacy systems the solution includes one of the biggest Drupal implementations in the world.
This case study will describe the journey the platform has been on over the 5 years, take a high level look at the architecture and approaches to continuously evolve and innovate the solution whilst maintaining continuity of service. We’ll also describe some of the ways of working used to manage a large, multi-supplier project, a team of nearly 200 people distributed between the UK and India, and some of the plans for the future.
