Features V/S CMI - The battle for Drupal 8.

The session will start with the brief introduction to Configuration Management Initiative followed by Features module. CMI is one of the most important features of Drupal 8. But with CMI being introduced in Drupal 8, we have started questioning Features module and its existence in Drupal 8.

Before we head to the main objective, we will be discussing how Features and CMI work and what are their individual functionalities that they deliver.

The main objective of the session is to point out the differences between the two and see why Features still has importance in Drupal 8. What was Features originally designed for and how it still manages to solve that purpose.

We will also be discussing how we can make the best use of both CMI and Features with our site.
