The Innovation Policy Platform (IPP) built atop Drupal, is a joint effort in this direction, by the World Bank and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to facilitate knowledge exchange and peer-to-peer learning on various policies specific to developed and developing countries by providing open data access through a rich knowledge discovery layer on top of a data warehouse of all OECD and World Bank data, aimed at transform available data into strategic intelligence.

The English poet, John Donne once said:

"No Man Is An Island, Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main..."

So is the case with the vast wealth of data across various organizations, that if brought together under one roof can help everyone tap into humanity's potential to solve many problems, both simple and complex.

The Innovation Policy Platform (IPP) built atop Drupal, is a joint effort in this direction, by the World Bank and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to facilitate knowledge exchange and peer-to-peer learning on various policies specific to developed and developing countries by providing open data access through a rich knowledge discovery layer on top of a data warehouse of all OECD and WB data, aimed at transform available data into strategic intelligence.

The platform, co-developed by Azri with a partner technology company and launched in January 2014, is yet another feather in Drupal's cap reinforcing it's capabilities as a powerful platform to aggregate, link, manage and disseminate open data enhanced by graphical navigation options to search and find data.

The session aims to provide insights on:

* The platform architecture
* OECD.Stat integration & Data Warehousing of Open Data from multiple sources, and other strategies to manage Open Data
* Knowledge Discovery Layer which includes an RDF driven Taxonomy & Search engine with advanced features to control facets using data from RDF files
* Complex data visualization and graphical navigation across the platform.
* Other features such as user focused content filtering and 'briefcase'.
* Further, the session also discusses how IPP is built as a Dynamic Data Driven site where content types, taxonomies and the configurations for relevant pages are read from the RDFs and site is altered dynamically based on these settings.

The presenters would also share insights into what IPP's possible future could be ranging from exploiting the potential of semantic web technologies for search and visualization, Linked Data scenarios etc.
