A better experience for everyone - Accessibility

Accessible content is not just an imperative for people with disabilities but also makes it easier for everyone to consume. Accessibility is a consistent practice and plays an important role in ensuring better user experience for potential users. Accessibility has overlapping principles with usability but is there any difference between these two aspects fo technology? As per Web Accessibility Initiative - accessibility drives innovation, enhances brand value, extends the market reach, and minimizes legal risks. It will be fair to say that digital accessibility is a sustainable business practice.
The problems while designing for accessibility are solved while keeping empathy in mind, thinking like a user, and understanding their needs. It can be a very tedious and frustrating job if taken into consideration after the development has finished or reached a milestone and that is why we should include accessibility in all the phases of lifecycle of development process from beginning. One small step from each user role can help enhance user journey by creating accessible content.
This session is to learn how we can distribute roles and responsibilities among cross-functional team to take one step forward towards building accessibility compliant digital content and to understand that WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) are not "just" guidelines anymore, they are obligated rules. We'll also be talking about Drupal's contribution towards digital accessibility
