15 years ago I was a lonely developer sitting in a small room quietly turning out code between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Fast-forward to now and you'll see me standing in front of audiences talking to developers about numerous topics. "Why are you bragging like that at me?" I hear you ask. Because it could happen to you too.

For many of us, these changes and learnings have been in the public - we've collaborated, built, shared, and failed in the open with our community, people, and products.

As consultants, we are often asked to recommend the best approach for building a Drupal site. The answer, as with many questions is, it depends. For some clients, the best choice is to build a traditional, coupled Drupal website. For other clients, it makes sense to build a completely decoupled solution using Drupal as the backend. And for others, the best solution is somewhere in between.
