Websites as a Team Sport: Finding Alignment and Success

Drew Gorton

Successful websites are made possible by a complex mix of people and technologies. As tools abound and proliferate, roles become more specialized. As we become more specialized, it becomes easy to lose track of who is doing what. (and when. and why.)

This session will walk through how websites are a co-creation of visitors, marketers, content creators, designers, developers and more, all of whom have their own goals. Successful teams find ways to align these groups at a high level and harmonize the many streams of work.

Visitors will come away with a better appreciation for the different streams of work involved in successful websites and a framework of questions to bring back to their organization to help find alignment and success in the future.
