COVID-19 Safety Policy DrupalCon Portland 2022
Updated on 25 April 2022
DrupalCon takes the safety of its exhibitors, sponsors, partners, speakers, volunteers, and participants very seriously. As the situation with COVID-19 is changing daily, we are closely monitoring the response by healthcare and government officials to ensure the protection of all our stakeholders. We will continue to update this page as changes are made.
DrupalCon 2022 will take place in person at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. Our safety policies follow the requirements of our venue. Exhibitors, sponsors, partners, speakers, and participants should be aware of the following policies:
Vaccination/Proof of Negative Test Requirement
- All exhibitors, sponsors, partners, speakers, participants, and staff will be required to show proof of full vaccination of COVID-19 or a negative COVID diagnostic test (PCR or antigen). If choosing to use the diagnostic test for entry, the test must be completed within 48 hours of the first day of attendance, and attendees will need to retest after 48 hours. Free testing will be available onsite.
- In general, people are considered fully vaccinated:
-- 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
-- 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine - If you plan to show proof of vaccination, we ask that you submit ahead of time to reduce congestion at registration. You will receive an encrypted link upon registration to submit proof of vaccination.
- Registration and check-in is located in the Holladay Lobby, inside the Holladay Street entrance of the Oregon Convention Center. All DrupalCon participants need to enter via the Holladay entrance. See the Oregon Convention Center maps for a detailed look. Upon arrival, staff will check for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. Proof of vaccination can include:
- Your physical vaccine card
- A photo of your vaccine card
- A vaccine certificate QR code
- If you have questions regarding proof of vaccination, please email hannah@association.drupal.org.
- After verifying your proof of vaccination OR negative test, staff will provide you with a wristband with a color corresponding to the day. Please do not remove this wristband during the event, or you may be asked to return to registration and re-submit proof of negative test OR vaccination.
Face covering requirements
- Face coverings will be required at all times when indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings must fully cover the mouth and nose.
COVID-19 Testing
COVID testing is now widely available and is often free. A guide to COVID testing and locations in Portland can be found here.
onsite testing
To do our best to keep you safe and make testing as accessible as possible, we will be providing free COVID-19 testing on-site at the Oregon Convention Center. Testing will be located in the Plaza just outside the Oregon Ballrooms, Monday - Saturday 8 AM - 3 PM and will offer both Rapid Antigen tests (Results within 15 minutes) and Rapid PCR tests (Results within 1 hour).
Travel
Anyone traveling to the event should read and abide by the CDC’s Travel Guidelines for domestic and international travel listed here. In addition, please respect fellow participants and do everything possible to ensure an environment that is as safe as possible. If traveling internationally, please click here as there is a requirement for proof of negative COVID-19 test or recovery from COVID-19 for all air passengers arriving in the United States.
Attendance Considerations
Individuals should not attend the event if they are COVID-positive, are exhibiting COVID symptoms (as defined by the CDC), or have been exposed, within 14 days before the event, to someone who was COVID-positive or showed COVID symptoms. DrupalCon will issue a refund to anyone fitting these criteria.
Additional Safety Measures
