Project Browser Initiative - Let's discuss Categories

The Project Browser Initiative team is evaluating the Categories used on project pages (module pages) on Drupal.org to determine the best way to move forward. There are currently 55 categories used on Drupal projects.

We are evaluating:
- are all the categories still needed
- should some categories be combined
- are there missing categories
- can categories be used across Project Browser and Distributions/Recipes

We're also considering how the words we use impact an international audience of newcomers and site builders. If you are a sitebuilder that can help us determine how categories help in your search for modules or a module maintainer with thoughts on categories, please join us to discuss. We have some work already started in a spreadsheet, and would love to iterate on it with your feedback!
