A note about our first year back in-person

It’s been almost 3 years since our amazing community has been able to connect in person in North America, and it’s been a long road filled with immense change. We are honored to be able to host DrupalCon in a physical space once again, and we are taking every step to ensure we can do that safely.

Our team of staff and volunteers are working to create a diverse, engaging, and enriching conference experience that meets the expectations you have come to know from DrupalCons over the years, within the context of a pandemic world where participants have very different needs and levels of comfort.

We know that the landscape of vaccine status, especially internationally and regarding young children, is an ever-changing landscape.

We want to remind folks that neither our Call for Speakers nor our contributor interest form is a contractual agreement. We encourage anyone who is unsure about attending because they are waiting for the upcoming vaccine decisions to roll out to still submit. Your voice and experience is extremely valuable to us, and we want to ensure the opportunity is here for you if you want it. Our inbox is always open to talk through any of your concerns

We want to hold space for everyone in our community to the best of our ability. While DrupalCon is the most widely attended Drupal event in the world and an important place for our community to learn, build, and connect, we are also planning to host a variety of virtual opportunities throughout the year to engage with this influential community of change-makers. So stay safe, and stay tuned! We are looking forward to an incredible year of engagement, connection, and innovation in a multitude of ways.

Sincerely,
Drupal Association
