Government Summit
Date: Monday, April 8
Time: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Cost: $250 (Coffee and lunch included)
Hashtag: #DrupalGov
Who should attend?
Are you a federal, state, or local government employee? A private sector employee supporting government? This summit is for you!
What will you get by attending?
We’ve revamped the summit schedule yet again - this time incorporating even more of your suggestions! Gov Summit attendees range from project managers and content editors to full-stack devs; and we want to make sure there’s something for everyone!
The project lead for the US Web Design System will speak to us about USWDS, it’s future, and how 21st Century IDEA is impacting digital services in government.
Learn to use analytics more effectively to help inform you about changes you should be focusing on in your content in a session with Amy Shropshire, Founder and CEO of Cask Communications.
We’ll discuss content strategy and user testing your content. There will even be a small usability workshop where you can run some tests against your own sites!
We’ve kept the table-topic discussion times; they’ll just be more free form. We like to think of them as mini-BoFs. Tables can form to continue the discussions from earlier in the day or your own unique topics. Opportunities to suggest topics will be available throughout the morning.
For our more technical audience, an opportunity for hands-on workshop on Web Components where you’ll build and answer common questions in establishing a web components portfolio. Not sure about Web Components? No worries - there will be lighting talk where the business case for using them is made.
Requirements for Web Components Workshop
- Laptop with admin rights on machine
- Ability to install node, npm, yarn and docker
- Preinstallation of the above as well as running `yarn global add @wcfactory/cli` a plus
All are welcome to attend regardless of whether you participate hands on or following along with others.
Meet Drupalers from all different skill levels, from beginner through expert, in a variety of roles -- site builders, developers, themers, project managers, support specialists, etc. If you are running up against a challenge or obstacle getting something approved or completing a task, there’s a good chance others are too, and can offer advice or act as a sounding board to discuss potential solutions! Let’s meet up and share our collective expertise!
