Resources and Accessibility

The Drupal Association and volunteers who contribute to DrupalCon strive to make our conference an inclusive and welcoming environment for all who attend.

We work to increase the diversity of the speakers who take to the stage at DrupalCon to ensure that they better represent the Drupal community. We aim to have all who attend DrupalCon feel comfortable, welcome and accommodated with a range of onsite offerings.

Interpreters & Translators

We offer interpretation for those who are deaf/hard of hearing. Translation services are available as well. Please indicate your request for any of these services on your registration so we can contact you to discuss your specific onsite needs.

Special Meals

DrupalCon offers a variety of dietary, allergy-free and nutritional options — from vegan to gluten-free, kosher to halal to nut-free — just specify during your registration what your own needs are and how best to accommodate them.

Lactation Room

We'll have a designated space for pumping or nursing onsite. We provide the space for your use while at the conference, though we suggest taking milk back to your hotel for cold storage.

Quiet Room

This space will be designated for those in need of a quiet environment. Please, no talking in this room. It can be used for meditation, prayer, reading, or just silence away from the buzz of the Con. It is a technology-free room. Any registered conference attendee is welcome to use this room anytime during regular conference hours.

Venue Accessibility, Mobility Equipment Availability

The Minneapolis Convention Center is an ADA accessible building. Visitors may rent power-operated scooters ($50/day) or manual wheelchairs ($20/day). These are available daily at the Visitor Information Center, located on the ground floor at the main entrance. Fees must be paid with a credit card and pre-registration is not available.

'Do Not Photograph' Option

Our volunteer photography team has specific instructions not to photograph anyone wearing the orange event lanyards, which signify “Do not photograph me.” We'll also post our photography guidelines onsite so that other attendees are aware of this policy.

Communication Stickers

At registration, attendees are offered communication stickers to put on their badges; these are optional stickers color-coded to indicate your requested level of interaction with other attendees:
Green = open to communicate
Yellow = only if you know me please
Red = not interested in communicating at this time

Attendees also have the option to select a pronoun sticker to affix to their name badge.

All-Gender Restrooms

There are designated all-gender restrooms; onsite directional signage will point out these restrooms.

First Aid/Medical Assistance

In the event that you require first aid or medical assistance during DrupalCon, please come to the registration desk or approach a uniformed security officer—many of whom are posted at security podiums throughout Level 1 of the venue. You may also call the onsite Security Command Center at 612-335-6040. For emergencies, dial 911.

Visitor Information Center

The Minneapolis Convention Center is partnered with DrupalCon to offer onsite concierge staff who can answer inquiries relating to Minneapolis. Visit the center at the large desk in the Main Lobby to get directions, recommendations for destinations, and assistance navigating the Convention Center and its tunnels to the city.
