Higher-Ed Community Building at DrupalCon Seattle
We’re excited for DrupalCon and an opportunity to see all of you - however, we want to make sure you stay connected before, during, and after the Higher-Ed Summit!
There are three ways we want to encourage you to connect with your peers while in Seattle:
EduDU
- We strongly encourage using the EduDU Slack group and the #drupalcon channel to connect with other higher-ed professionals at DrupalCon, plan BoFs and braindates, and keep in touch with attendees after the conference.
- Please fill out the form at the EduDU website to receive an invite link. Non-edu email addresses will be removed from the Slack team, so make sure to use your work email addresses when signing up.
Birds-of-a-Feather (BoFs)
Higher-education is well represented in BoFs at DrupalCon Seattle. Please see the BoFs below for additional opportunities to connect and work with other higher-ed professionals:
- Higher-Ed Summit: Post-Event Continued Discussion on April 9th from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM in Room 204, Level 2
- Creating a library agnostic approach to sustainable Web Component development on April 9th from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM in Room 204, Level 2
- University of California and SiteFarm on April 10th at 11:45 AM - 12:15 PM in BoF Room 2, Exhibit Hall, Level 4
- Managing large-scale Drupal deployments for higher ed, on April 11th at 9:45 AM to 10:15 AM in BoF Room 3, Exhibit Hall, Level 4
Braindate
We have reserved a room during the morning at the Higher-Ed Summit for Braindates coordination. Braindates are small group peer discussions for problem-solving and brainstorming, managed and structured by interested attendees. We strongly encourage folks reach out to attendees on EduDU (see above for join links) to coordinate and advertise Braindates ahead of time
