Building Georgia’s Digital Omnichannel Platform in Drupal 8 (A case study)
A large enterprise platform needs a digital strategy that not only sustains all the interaction channels people use now, but also avails the platform to be future ready. While we cannot predict which innovations will dominate the digital landscape in the future, we do know that we need a digital platform that is ready for whatever comes next.
The state of Georgia has undergone a replatforming project to not only migrate 85 sites from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8, but to architect a new platform from the ground up to make use of the future-focused technology in Drupal 8.
In this session, we will talk about the lessons learned building an enterprise-scale Drupal 8 digital platform. From understanding user needs, to conceptualizing a solution, to the implementation of the platform’s MVP and beyond.
