Today, a typical organization and publishing houses runs dozen of websites. Besides the desire of quickly spinning up and launching new sites, the need of re-using content quickly comes up. This is where our contentpool Drupal distribution comes in!

Contentpool is a distribution based upon Thunder that integrates the robust content replication features provided by the replication module. It pre-configures the required modules, so that they are easy to use, and provides some useful extensions around them that are focussed on our use-case: Having a central, easy to use contentpool instance for editors, which allows editors to instantly publish content across many sites in your organization while satellite sites subscribe to content of specific channels.

Oliver Berndt, who initated the project at the publisher, will share the motivation behind creating a Contentpool for an organization, while Wolfgang Ziegler (drunomics) will provide insights in the technical architecture and implementation.
