Imposter Syndrome – it's way more common than you think
There are two types of people – those who suffer from the Impostor syndrome and those who never heard of it. Of course, there are some exceptions, but they only prove that Impostor syndrome is a very important topic and its effects are more intense that considered.
Many people in software development industry often think they are here by a mistake, that they are not as good as they are treated, that they don’t deserve all of these perks and salaries. The list goes on and on. And that might eventually lead to downshifting, one of the best engineers quit unexpectedly, stress, depression, you name it.
I want to talk about this topic in more details and cover topics that might help those who think they are impostors to stop thinking so (well, at least make the effects of the syndrome less strong). Also, I want to talk about noticing that your employees or colleagues suffer from the Impostor syndrome and what you can do to help them to stop worrying and live a better lives.
No prerequisites, everyone are welcome. Most useful for those who constantly feel like they're not who people think they are.
