Drupal is more than just a CMS. As more and more API first and decoupled work progresses, Drupal fits nicely into the center of complex systems that retrieve and display data (and content) from a variety of streams. Particularly when it is integrated with Enterprise E-Commerce system like Elastic Path and combined with the power of a JavaScript framework like React, Drupal becomes the ultimate tool for managing and displaying content across many channels and for consumer consumption.
The challenges for such a system are non-trivial and must be accounted for in early architectures for multiple applications across the enterprise.
