Your new site looks great. It has all the bells and whistles, and some pretty awesome images. But - are you ready for actual GO LIVE?! There's a lot to launching a site and we wanted to ensure little details were not lost, so this check list was born. This presentation is an overview of that check list to ensure site launches are successful.
We will touch on how the list came to be and cover a few specifics from the checklist, like:
- Where does it all fit in
- DNS changes (or any URL changes and redirects)
- Communication and documentation (Support staff, Site owner/stakeholders, PM)
- Security Scans, WA Review, QA? – Oh MY!
- How hosting/platform providers can help
Project managers would be interested in this, but site owners and site builders as well so they too can understand all the details for successfully launching a site. Nothing technical to learn, but there are technical bits and words that maybe new to some.
