Team communication, the key to happiness.
This session is appropriate for any attendee working on a development project with multiple team members.
Sometimes we face situations where new project builds, functionalities, or behaviors requested by a client are not that clear. This happens because not all clients have the technical background required. Or maybe because they rely on us and our experience to roundup the specs of the request.
This is where our team communication is key.
What are you going to learn in this session?
You are going to learn the path that took me to understand what "team communication" means, and how important it is. Hopefully, it will help you avoid making the same mistakes and improve your teamwork.
This includes:
-
Understanding the roles of teammates involved in your project.
-
Listening and comprehension. Don't be afraid of asking specific or “rookie” questions.
-
Knowledge is not understanding. Stop for a moment and focus on what the requested is about.
-
Positive and negative personalities must work together.
-
Share or listen new thoughts. They can be so good they can turn into improvements.
-
Plan your work together with the people who will be involved.
-
How did we do? Are we all happy?
The Annotations module will be shown as example of teamwork.
