Shyamala

Studies at Harvard have shown that teams that have at least one female member outperform all-male groups in collective intelligence tests. Organizations world over a trying to improve their gender parity.

Often questions in the minds of the recruiters or organizations,

  1. What if Young women join, get trained,  get married and leave us?

  2. What if there is a need for a month at Client premises? Will the lady be willing to leave her family and travel?

  3. Working on international projects, need for support during late evenings to facilitate overlap with other timezones, how can a young lady manage the same?

  4. Many more gender stereotypes..

Questions in the minds of young women employees,

  1. Is this place safe to work?

  2. Can I handle technology?

  3. How can I manage work & home?

  4. How do I handle pregnancy and work?

  5. Work after kids?

Proud to share that we have in the last year leading this trend  with a third of the organization being women. These young women are from different parts of the country, varied cultural backgrounds brought with them their own unique stories. We are all constantly learning from people around us. I love stories as they help us understand real life better. Here in this talk I have put together some of the stories of the challenges these young women faced and how we have worked around them to make the technology magic possible for them.
