What is DrupalCon?

DrupalCon is a mission-centric program of the Drupal Association designed to bring people together to share thought leadership around open source and ambitious digital experiences, provide professional development opportunities to enhance your career and your organization, and invigorate Drupal project momentum.
 

What is the Drupal Association?

Drupal is the open source content management software behind millions of websites and applications, boasting a community of 46,000-plus developers and more than 1.3 million users on Drupal.org. The Drupal Association is the non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the Drupal software project, fostering the community, and supporting its growth.

What is included in my ticket?

A DrupalCon Global ticket includes:

  • Full access to all conference events July 14 - 17
  • Live events including interactive sessions, mini summits, and professional development sessions
  • On-demand access to the content library
  • Special attendee-only offers from sponsors

When will the live sessions be held?

Live content will be available:

  • 13:00 UTC (14 July) - 01:00 UTC  (15 July)
  •  13:00UTC (15 July) - 01:00 UTC (16 July)
  • 13:00 UTC (16 July) - 01:00 UTC (17 July)
  • Friday, 17 July will be a dedicated contribution day and hours will vary.

Will Summits be offered?

Summits will be included in the DrupalCon Global program as 2-hour intensive sessions, positioned to showcase cutting edge presentations and highlights from the full-day Summits. 
 

What are the technical requirements to participate?

Participants will need a reasonable internet connection, capable of participating in live video conferencing in reasonable quality. We recommend users have a headset with a dedicated microphone, and think about the background content of their video.

Detailed technical requirements to participate will be available on the DrupalCon Global website by July 1, 2020.

Are there any registration discounts available?

All tickets for DrupalCon Global are priced at $249 USD. However, the Drupal Association is offering a scholarship program to encourage attendance by those underrepresented in open source as well as underserved students and Drupal community members experiencing financial hardship.  

If I have a Drupal Association membership, do I get a DrupalCon discount?

Members at the $250 level or higher get a 10% discount. You may also sign up for this membership level when you purchase your DrupalCon ticket and the discount will be automatically applied.

Can I cancel my registration and receive a refund?

Tickets are non-refundable, however, you are able to transfer your ticket. To transfer your ticket, please email help@drupalcon.zendesk.com with the name and email address of your transfer recipient.

Will the Code of Conduct apply to DrupalCon Global?

Of course! DrupalCon is dedicated to a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and harassment-free conference experience, whether it is virtual or in-person event, for everyone. All participants - attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and event staff- are required to abide by the DrupalCon Code of Conduct during all official and unofficial conference events, including events hosted or sponsored by DrupalCon sponsors. The Code of Conduct can be viewed on the website and must be accepted as a term of your DrupalCon Global registration. 

When will the sessions videos be available if I don’t have a ticket to attend DrupalCon Global?

For non-DrupalCon attendees, access to the session videos will debut in September, pending presenter permission. BoFs and Mini Summits will not be recorded, and will only be available per in-event participation.

Is Barcelona cancelled? Does this event combine both events?

DrupalCon Barcelona was postponed from the original September dates to December 8 - 11, 2020. At present, Barcelona is scheduled for an in-person gathering at the International Barcelona Convention Center.
