In discussions about accessibility and diversity, most people immediately think of semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, screen readers, and making sure we have stock photos of people of different genders and ethnicities. However, we need to cut the fluff. While these are components of both topics, this talk will help you reframe your perspective and leverage accessibility principles to provide truly inclusive experiences for the variety of people who use your sites and products.

Prerequisites

Attendees will get the most out of this session by being familiar with HTML and CSS structural basics. Having a basic understanding of accessibility laws and requirements will also help users understand case studies.
