Real-world accessibility testing
After the design and implementation phases of accessibility are done, how do we ensure our work is actually accessible? Testing for accessibility is a core part of accessibility implementation - one that is often overlooked. To ensure our products are accessible to everyone, we need to know what to test and how to test it.
In this session we will go over the fundamentals of testing your products for accessibility. This will include what to test, testing tools like WAVE and aXe, helpful resources, and a brief overview of screen reading software. We will also discuss the importance of having others test your work and why it is vital to include people with disabilities in the process.
