Understanding Marketing
Marketers are an increasingly important audience for Drupal. Come to this session to learn what our Marketing colleagues do, what they care about and how they measure success. You will leave this session better equipped to communicate your work and value to Marketing professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Use common Marketing terms and measurements with confidence (e.g. MQL, CPL, CAC, CLTV, etc.)
- Identify common needs of Marketing teams (e.g. measurement, reporting, attribution, integrations, etc.)
- Understand many of the common roles on Marketing teams and how their work interconnects with the web
- Connect the value of their work back to the measurements and needs of Marketers (e.g. “Our clients typically improve their CTRs by 15% in engagements like this”)
Target Audience
This session is for anyone who interacts with Marketing professionals but doesn't self-identify as one. Some examples include Account Managers, Sales / Biz Dev, Project Managers, Team Leads and anyone else with client-facing interactions.
Prerequisites
Attendees will get the most out of this session by being familiar with the ways their organization currently communicates their work and value to Marketers.
