One week left to submit your DrupalCon sessions

We are in the fourth week of session submissions for DrupalCon Los Angeles and only one week remains before the deadline. Now is your chance to shine! Send us your talk idea and you could find yourself presenting to the Drupal community's largest annual event this spring.

Open source is all about sharing, contribution, and collaboration and DrupalCon is the best platform to reach Drupal users on a global scale. Contribute back to the community by sharing your knowledge and equipping others with the tools and tricks necessary to navigate the web like a pro.

Is this for me?

Submitting a talk for the first time can be scary, but there’s no community more welcoming than the Drupal community. Even if you aren’t an expert in everything under the sun, if there’s something cool you know how to do, we want to hear about it! Whether you’re relatively new to the Drupal community or you’re an old pro with specialized knowledge, we want to hear what you have to share at DrupalCon.

It should be noted that we don’t recommend submitting a talk if you've never publicly presented prior to DrupalCon. There are a huge number of Drupal communities all around the world, many of which have frequent meetups and gatherings. If you have  an idea for a great session at DrupalCon, try it out at your local Drupal groups.

We’re here to help!

Not sure what to submit? Our track descriptions can help you out. The Los Angeles track chairs (or sessions selection team) have outlined exactly which topics they’re looking to select. Still not sure? Ask! The track chairs are here to help guide would-be speakers.

Have you submitted your talk but you’re not feeling confident you’ll be selected? Read our helpful guide from DrupalCon Austin, 3 Simple Tips to getting your session selected.

For more on the session submission process, check out Cameron Tod's post from DrupalCon Amsterdam, Session selection for DrupalCon from the inside-out.

Encourage others

Activate your network and encourage new DrupalCon speakers to submit! If you attended a camp or user group session that you loved, ask that speaker to submit their talk for DrupalCon. Pitting yourself against some of the usual DrupalCon lineup can be daunting, and a friendly nudge from from someone showing interest in their topic can make all the difference.

You have a 100% higher chance of being selected to speak if you submit a session than if you don’t.
