Drupal + Marketing Automation: But my marketing automation tool makes landing pages
I jumped on the marketing automation bandwagon really early, because I couldn’t find a CMS that met my most important needs: launch my campaign pages quickly without having to call my web developer every time. Marketers are master multi-taskers, but the delay in getting my website updated, custom web pages and splash pages developed added far too much time to my workflow. Tools like Marketo, Hubspot, Eloqua and Pardot solved that and allowed me to have one place to get my job done.
Most marketing automation tools offer a user friendly WYSIWYG experience well integrated into other key company needs: campaign management, email marketing, customer relationship management and event management. Even though creating new web landing pages was really easy, it wasn’t easily integrated into my website. This opened a Pandora’s box in terms of consistent look and feel and branding across online channels and was a pain to update when it was time to rebrand.
Marketers need the autonomy to launch their campaigns quickly and efficiently, while the web team wants to minimize managing the web experience across multiple platforms and systems, when core functionality is easily integrated into Drupal.
