$12 Million. Five years. Four agency offices. Three consulting firms. One mission.

For the last year, Forum One has been working with the U.S. Agency for International Development to help several of their environmental offices develop their online infrastructure for training, knowledge management, and communications. In this session we'll share how we’ve leveraged Drupal, Agile project management, and proactive client engagement techniques to help this massive government agency begin to embrace the power of open-source technologies and modernize their internal and external communications practices.

The session will cover:

  • How to build trust and encourage public entities to embrace open-source technology
  • When to spend your political capital as the agency of record for a public-sector client
  • How to facilitate consensus between people working in bureaucratic silos
  • How to succeed as the digital experts in a large, long-term multi-party government contract
