Front End at DrupalCon New Orleans

With Drupal 8 proliferating out in the wild, now is a perfect time to get caught up on best-practices, trends, and experiments in the vast Front End world.

Consider all the different areas of innovation both within Drupal and to the wide world of web development: preprocessors, build automation, JS and CSS architecture, new template systems and client-side applications, not to mention headless Drupal designs.

What better way to get acquainted with New Orleans than with the exciting world of Front End.

And what better place to share your expert knowledge of Front End than at DrupalCon New Orleans!

The Call for Proposals for the DrupalCon New Orleans Front End track is open and waiting for you!

For those answering the call, we are looking for submissions aligned with the following missions:

  1. The maturation of Front End as an engineering practice

  2. Front End practices outside the Drupal world

  3. Current and emerging best practices, tools, & techniques (BEM/OOCSS, static prototyping, design in browser, progressive enhancement)

  4. Front End and Back end templating systems (Twig, Twig.js, Handlebars)

  5. Performance

  6. Content-first, atomic design, and new design issues

  7. Sustainable patterns of development

  8. And most importantly -- Why are we doing this? What do we hope to achieve? Why, as a Front Ender, use Drupal at all?

Don’t be a stranger - submit your session proposal today!
