Volunteer Behind Your Camera at DrupalCon
DrupalCon has a lot going on at all times — sessions, BoFs, summits, hallway track conversations, social events, exhibitor fun, and more. We're putting together a photography team to help capture these awesome moments, and want YOU to help us out!
Michael Cannon (comprock) will be leading the team and is looking for interested photographers who can work on a team to strategize about getting the best shots to capture the fun, community and sharing that will happen at DrupalCon New Orleans. This is a really great opportunity for anyone who wants to work on their photography skills, get experience shooting at an event, or meet other shutterbugs in the community. Michael leads photography teams for various Drupal camps in Asia, and coordinated the first-ever official photography team at DrupalCon Asia.
When we asked Michael how he became involved in open source photography, he said, "I've been coding since 1984. However, I wanted to do more than that, to do something more creative, and to make a positive impact on the people of the projects I work with. Through photography, I'm contributing back to open source in an entirely new way and making connections I never thought possible. I want to help others do the same by sharing my experiences of photographing open source events as a professional, and help the community increase its awareness to all."
If you'd like to particiapte in the team and give back in this special way, please sign up here.
See you in New Orleans, shutterbugs!
