You are the Coding & Development Track

With core Drupal 8 now in full swing and the contrib space rapidly maturing, now is an excellent time to get more deeply involved with one of the world’s largest open-source development communities. The Coding and Development track is focused on educating developers on the latest techniques and tools for increasing the quality and efficacy of their projects.

We are very excited to be hosted in the beautiful city of New Orleans this year, and are hard at work making this year’s Con one to remember. But we can’t do it without you! The call for proposals is officially open, so why haven’t you submitted your session idea yet?

If you’re doing interesting things with Drupal 8, we want to hear about them. If you’re doing a complex upgrade of a site from a previous version or another system, we want to hear about it. And if you’re mainly still working in Drupal 7, don’t fret! We will be featuring sessions showcasing innovative Drupal 7 concepts as well, so go ahead and submit your idea.

The following are some general ideas about session topic areas to get your creative juices flowing. But only you know what you’ve been working on that other people would be interested in learning about.

  • Showcasing awesome things that contrib projects can do in Drupal 8
  • How to manage the migration of our projects to Drupal 8
  • Tools and techniques for upgrading modules
  • What both beginner and experienced developers should know
  • Project architecture
  • Caching and performance

If you’re not sure whether to submit your sessions idea or not, just remember - don’t be hesitant like Vince Vega:
