Automating Drupal Migration
Drupal 8 is finally here. With the release of Drupal 8, Drupal 6 will officially become unsupported by 24th Feb 2016. But we know as per Drupal’s usage stats that still there are 100k+ sites in Drupal 6.
If you are using Drupal 6 then migrating your existing Drupal site directly to Drupal 8 will not be feasible because the contributed modules for Drupal 8 are yet to catch up.
Also, Drupal 7 will be supported till Drupal 9 comes along which tentatively be a long time from now. Hence, the solution to this problem is to upgrade your site to the latest Drupal 7 version right now.
To make migration easier there is a migration script that we have created. It highly expedites the migration of Drupal 6 site to latest release of Drupal 7.
