Building Superior Authoring Experiences with ATAG 2.0 Adoption in Drupal 8

mgifford

Drupal 8 was released in December and it provides by default accessibility that is head and shoulders above any other CMS. For the last 8 years we have been working on implementing defaults that are good for everyone.

If you are looking at upgrading to Drupal 8, there are lots of “accessibility goodies” that we’ve built in that you will want to incorporate. We will highlight some of those in the presentation, but primarily will be looking at how modules and themes can build on the work we have started in Core to improve the authoring experiences for improved accessibility.

This presentation will include an overview of ATAG 2.0 so that we can highlight some best practices that can be adopted with Drupal, and highlighting what contrib modules could be developed to extend Core.

By attending this presentation you’ll get an understanding of ATAG 2.0, Drupal 8’s accessibility features and the advantages for your team.
