CSS Grids are Easy

If you're like me, the thought of designing things gives you anxiety. I'm an Engineer, dammit, not a Graphic Designer! I like rules and logical systems! I cut a mean whiteboard diagram or wireframe, but Responsive Web Design? Where's my blankie!?

It's okay. Don't panic. Calm down. It turns out that there are some simple rules at play in the crazy complexity of RWD, a grid-based system of design that works well on every device**. Together, we'll explore the nicely ordered system of design called a CSS Grid Layout, some of the ready-made grid systems that already exist, and even how to make your own in a few quick lines of Sass.

Participants should be familiar with HTML and CSS (particularly the float, clear, and display properties) and some basic math (fractions and proportions). Some experience working with loops and variables would be helpful towards the end.
