DevOps for the Rest of Us

DevOps tools and techniques can (and should) be used by everyone! Let’s demystify DevOps and uncover how even the layperson (I’m one) can get started.

DevOps shouldn’t be reserved for certified sysadmins or large web agencies. I’ve learned that with a little bit of DevOps knowledge, you can go really far towards improving your projects/processes - and you can do it in a short period of time. Actually, it wasn’t long ago (DrupalCon Austin) that the entire DevOps/automation side of the web world felt like voodoo magic to me. Now, I’m using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI and Ansible almost every single day. It’s made my life easier, my projects more stable and my business more efficient.
