Drupal Campus Ambassador Program - A community Initiative

Drupal is growing at an exponential rate and so is the demand for Drupal Talent. Ability to take on more projects is limited and every Drupal company executive will attest to that.

Some of the questions that we need to take cognizance of:

• Amidst myriads of web frameworks available, how do we evangelise Drupal and pitch it as a career choice ?

• Will Drupal’s growth be impeded by lack of talent?  

• Where is our next batch of contributing passion coming from?

In Drupal camp Delhi 2015, some of these questions were raised and debated and a small group of people from that meet decided to find out a solution. After plenty of rounds of discussion - we were convinced that lot of these answers lie in how we interact with the student community, can we pitch in Drupal early in the graduate program? What kind of shape will that effort take ? How will it work? -- took us over 5-6 months to finalise details, structure of what we call as Drupal Campus Ambassador Program and we would love to talk about it at Drupalcon New Orleans -- take feedback and share background and latest updates.
