Fundraising with Drupal

We all know Drupal is a powerful content management system and an efficeint application framework, serving the needs of many organizations ranging from news organizations to Fortune 500 enterprises. For nonprofits, it's also the hub of their fundraising efforts, which many of them depend on to surive. One could then extrapolate that Drupal, in supporting nonprofits, is a critical component to much of the good being done in the world today. Ok, that's a bit of hyperbole, but the point I want to make is that there is a large range in the efficacy of online fundraising efforts, and Drupal provides the tools to do it right. For example, we all know that it's easy to embed a form from PayPal, CauseVox, Classy and others, but did you know that six times more money is raised through custom branded donation forms than generic ones?

This talk will explore a set of tools allowing anyone with limited coding skills to run compelling online campaigns, create one page donation forms with multiple payment options, and run viral fundraising campaigns. All while retaining the flexibility of using any payment gateway and creating customized experiences for potential donors. Some of the tools we will discuss include:

Attendees should be familiar with administering a Drupal site and have basic site building skills, or just have an interest in learning what's possible with regards to fundraising with Drupal. They will leave with the knowledge of how to raise funds and run online campaigns using existing tools in Drupal.
