How Drupal can help neighborhood communities

Drupal gets a lot of attention for large, enterprise-level projects but it is just as useful for small projects. This presentation will focus on how Drupal can be used to build a website to help a small neighborhood civic organization. The primary emphasis will be on using the AbleOrganizer distribution to track events, donations, and volunteers. Additionally, it will explore how open data can be used with Drupal to easily provide addional features such as a crime tracker.
