How to grow from one to many
If you reach a point in your freelancing career where you have more work than you can handle by yourself, you will be faced with deciding how to move forward. Do you start turning down work? Do you work with other freelancers? Or do you start hiring employees and building a business?
If you decide to hire, you will find yourself confronted by an entirely new set of challenges. Key among those will be internal communication, team coordination, resource management, personnel management, and many more. You must be able to implement new tools and processes in order to transition to working in an efficient team.
This session will be based on my own experience. I will tell you how I became a Drupal freelancer and then built a Drupal shop of 30+ employees, and I will share everything I have learnt, all the mistakes, all the difficulties, and all the good, the bad, and the ugly decisions I faced during this period.
