Introduction to Views
Drupal camps and conferences offer many sessions on incredibly cool ways Drupal can be used to accomplish the goals of some pretty amazing web applications. What is often harder to find are sessions for beginners that explain some of the fundamental tools in layspeak, allowing those with less experience with Drupal to recognize what functionality certain tools might offer and how to leverage said tools to achieve your web project's vision.
In this session, Dylan Shields (Drupal Developer at Canadian Blood Services) will walk through the Views module, explaining the key configuration areas and providing some demonstrations of how to configure Exposed Filters, Contextual Filters and Relationships. Dylan will also demonstrate a variety of display options, including a table, a jquery carousel, a csv export, an xml feeds and en interactive geographical map.
If you've never worked with Views or have no idea what Views is, this session is tailored for you! If you have worked with Views for years, who knows - you might just learn something new in this session.
