Oh #$%#! Risk Management
Projects happen in the real world - meaning things go wrong. The client doesn’t get you something in time. Or said they tested the site but they didn’t and now they expect you to fix it for free. Or it turns out two of the modules you planned to use do not to play nicely with each other for this specific use case, and then the system admin gets sick right before you’re going to launch.
Things go wrong. How do you plan for it? Project risks can be managed just like a project timeline or budget can - though the tools involved are slightly different. In this talk, I’ll give a brief overview of risk management, how it fits into a project process and how it lives within a project team.
Who should attend:
- Anyone who works on projects
- … in any role
- … on any size team
- Beginners or Intermediate
What you’ll learn
- Simple Risk management framework
- Anatomy of a Risk
- Tips and tricks for prevention and monitoring
There will be lots of time for discussion at the end. You’ll leave with a different perspective on projects, and how empowered you can be to handle those bumps along the way.
