Outside-in design in inside Drupal

Building on Dries' blog posts on frontent frameworks in Drupal and Outside-in design that Preston and Kevin collaborated on as well as our inside-out design prototypes, this session will take a deeper dive into the principles of Outside in design and how it can be applied in specific Drupal administrative contexts. 

We will outline the principles of outside-in design, and explain some of the methodology we used to establish them. We will then demo several prototpe drupal UIs making connections between specific interactions and the principles they are based on. We will also show the results of initial user testing of the prototypes against current Drupal 8 core and contrib UIs.

The session is for Drupal designers, UX researchers, content strategists and front-end and back end developers of all skill levels. The session will expose the community to some innovative thinking around the future of design in Drupal and educate them on both established and new ideas about user experience in general.
