Scaling localization on Drupal and beyond

iamEAP

Website localization is journey.  In the beginning, you may only support a couple of languages on a small website.  You may end up copying and pasting blobs of HTML between your nodes, Word documents, and e-mails...  And at the start, that's okay!

As your website grows, your localization needs will grow too.  Along your journey, you'll start to build localization processes and project management into your content workflow.  You may start to integrate Translation Management and a translation vendor or two into the mix to help manage the ever-expanding list of languages you support and the bottomless pit of content that has become your website.

When things really go well, things start to fall apart...  Maybe you now run a dozen websites, some of which aren't even running Drupal.  Maybe your localization needs have grown to encompass e-mails and other non-web assets.  What do you do?

This session aims to help organizations who are looking to scale up their localization process.  Afterward, you'll walk away knowing...

  • When to manage LOC in Drupal and when to jump to a translation management system (and why)
  • Modules that integrate Drupal with translation management systems and how to use them
  • How to support an end-to-end translation workflow, including in-context review and workflow automation
